Simple Saturday.

Today was lovely. I woke up (or rather was woken up...) bright and early and spent Saturday morning as any mature, seventeen year old female ought to spend a Saturday morning; watching Pokemon and Sonic cartoons. It was followed by a studious hour or so of youtubing (sp?) and then my friend Sara and I went off to Kohls. Kohls was followed by goodwill; which was an exceptional and successful shopping experience. I don't believe one could come out of goodwill disappointed actually. Not only does it provide you with some quality crew neck sweatshirts, but you can also try on wedding dresses and have random ladies coming up to you saying, "My...Don't you just look gorgeous!" It was definitely a self-esteem booster. My friend and I also found matching bridesmaid dresses that semi-resembled may poles. I love to think of the rocking receptions attended whilst wearing such "fashionable" dresses. I also bought some books and a pair of men's loafers, which I thought were a bit overpriced; but I wasn't sure if arguing the prices were allowed there, so I refrained. Goodwilling (that's the new verb I made up.) reminds me of an article I recently read in the USA Today about the effects the economy is having on teenagers. It said something about how frugal is now "cool". But when hasn't finding two dollar sweater been "cool"? A delectable, late lunch of grilled cheese and tomato soup soon followed and I ate Velveeta cheese for the first time. We then went ice skating downtown which was beautiful and chill and COLD...so very cold; but despite the COLD it was extremely enjoyable. It was just a simple, lovely day.
